The election is finally over and I trust that you voted. This was one of the most interesting elections in history. Whether or not you agree with the end result, you no doubt have heard that if you don’t vote you don’t have a voice and those who don’t vote have no right to complain.
One of my very favorite spiritual authors, Gary Zukav wrote an article that made me think. He said that every single day we vote. We vote for love or we vote for fear and each are “running” on very different tickets.
My ah-ha was this…Choosing to react in criticism, negativity, hopelessness and despair is like casting a big red X over the things we say we want! “Voting” for one thing automatically means you are “Xing” out the other thing.
Gary says that love runs on the harmony, cooperation, sharing, and reverence for Life ticket. It presents itself as gratitude, caring, patience, contentment, appreciation, and more.
Fear runs on the discord, competition, hoarding, and exploitation ticket. It presents itself as anger, jealousy, resentment…. To read the entire article visit my blog. Thanks to Gary Zukav who gave me permission to run this article.
Keeping Your Commitments
As you know, before I started my career I worked in a factory for over 21 years. Until the “field of possibilities” was presented to me I didn’t consider that I could (even at a late age) create a whole different life.
When my friend Marsha said, "What would you do if there were no limits?" I said, "I would be a dancer or a choreographer. My second choice was to be a speaker and author."
This has been a magical year for me. I have had a full year of private dance lessons. (Here is a picture of me and Alex, my dance teacher.) I am so grateful for my understanding of what makes life meaningful.
I have friends all over the world, I turned 50 this year and I’m in great health. I authored a book and I have had a full speaking calendar
This year, I fulfilled many commitments and I have realized the many stages of re-invention. I want to share this video with you as an encouragement that you can have the essence of what ever you want in your life.

Pre-Holiday Special Reminder
If you know anyone on your gift-giving list who is going through a life change, reinventing a part of their life, dealing with starting a new business, you may want to give them an autographed version of “Success is a Given.” This book was written not as a “how to” book but a book of encouragement for anyone going through re-invention. Many people collect autographed books so this is the perfect gift-giving gift for the avid reader in your life.
Success is a Given helps the reader understand what their emotions are telling them on their journey to re-invention. Marlene’s personal examples serve as an encouragement to anyone who has the courage to manifest their destiny.
