My name is Marlene Chism, and I'm the founder of "Stop Your Drama" and the Stop Your Drama Methodology. My master's degree is in development but more important is my life experience.
I used to sacrifice my needs to make others happy or to keep from "rocking the boat" in my family. I didn't believe in myself. That is why I spent over 20 years working in a factory doing blue collar work. (Not that there is anything wrong with that kind of work) but I just never thought I would be able to do much more. I constantly compared myself to others and found myself lacking.
Then, even after my big "TRANSFORMATION" (which is another story) I still did things I didn't really want to do. I didn't know how to hear my own voice. I even volunteered for four years on a committee where there was nothing but DRAMA. Why? I was told that you need to be on a board of directors to "Network" and grow your business. Can you see the wrong motive?
I thought there was something wrong with me. What I've realized is that these symptoms are so common but no one talks about it for fear of judgment.
